For Dave Hause the American dream is a broken promise, a childhood ideal that has been shattered by the reality of the past two decades. On the musician’s second solo album, Devour, Hause scours the foundation of that crumbled dream in an attempt to discover how everything we believed growing up could have turned out so differently. The album, initially written to become the third record from Hause’s rock band The Loved Ones, follows his 2011 solo debut Resolutions, a disc that allowed the musician to understand his potential as his own artist.

Between quitting and then re-joining his band 'Single Mothers' – Drew Thomson moved to a small town called Swastika in Northern Ontario to be a Gold Prospector. Without a band, and with many long days and nights camping alone, there was plenty of time to sit around – strum a guitar and write songs. Although always being a singer/songwriter as a hobby, Thomson has recently decided to take it more seriously. In 2013 he released a small batch of acoustic songs called 'Honesty is a Confidence Problem' via Jeremy Bolm's label Secret Voice and began playing solo shows.
