Party: Special K at the Arlington Improv

Playing the role of "Comedian Extroidinaire, Special K" K. Douglas is one of the most popular voices on syndicated radio in the country. He's the head comedy writer and personality on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show, which is heard by millions in over 60 markets. His comedic features on the show, "Top 5," "This just in," "News you absolutely cannot use" and "Letters to the morning show" are hilarious. As the show's writer since 2007, he is solely responsible for roughly 80% of the show's comedic content. His input is a huge factor in the show's growth from a single market in Dallas to being a 60+ market syndicated phenomenon, taking over the number one spots in major markets like Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, and Detroit. In addition, he's the show's "go to" guy for political analysis.
Multi-talented as a comedian, writer, and personality, he never stops moving ahead in the competitive entertainment business. He is also a member of both AFTRA and The Writer's Gulid Association and is currently working on scripts for sitcoms and feature film projects.
As a stand up comedian, he tours clubs and theaters nationally as a host and headliner. His charisma, Wit, and ability to connect with an audience led to him being hand-picked to be the house emcee for the Uptown Comedy Corner, the country's longest-running urban comedy club. His comedy CD of his greatest radio hits is selling like crazy and he also has a book "100 Poblems, 100 Slutions" a wickedly clever, funny and satirical take on advice therapy. With television, radio and print he is truly a triple threat!
