Starting Wednesday, our first ever Haunted House (Freak Show) will take place throughout the rest of the week, in honour of the Yellow Brick House. This project has been worked on not only by Student Council members but a great number of volunteers, the visual arts and drama department. Get ready to have the fright of a lifetime brought to you by the Westmount community. With an open donation of anything 25 cents and over, you can receive a piece of candy and entry to our incredible Haunted House.
Yellow Brick is an organization that helps victims of abuse like women and Children to rebuild and take back their lives within the York Region. With the help of everyone involved from the counsellors to the volunteers Yellow Brick house give their time to make sure women and children who are victims of domestic abuse have a safe place to turn if ever need be. There are 4 parts of their services: emergency shelter, transitional housing, outreach services and public education. We will be accepting all donations for Yellow Brick House starting Tuesday, October 28th in the middle of the atrium at our WCI Student Council table.
Help us make a difference this Halloween for many families living in OUR community.
