Details: Quincy Mumford at Tremont Music Hall

Quincy Mumford and the Reason Why - After 6 years, 600+ shows, and four award-winning albums, New Jersey-based 23 year-old singer/songwriter Quincy Mumford released his 5th album “Its Only Change” in July 2013. Its Only Change was recorded in Nashville, TN with producer Ken Coomer (Wilco, Uncle Tupelo) and features performances from Jerry Roe (K.D. Lang), David Labruyere (John Mayer) and Aubrey Freed (Black Crowes, Sheryl Crow). Producer Ken Coomer, states, “Quincy Mumford is a true artist that can bring raw 70′s style rock and funk highlighted with the voice of an old soul, it’s a perfect blend.”
Optimistic, charismatic, and undeniably genuine, Quincy’s music possesses the same “feel good” attitude that the young man himself does. Its Only Change establishes Quincy Mumford and The Reason Why as a “Band to Watch” in 2015.

Fernandina - "Fernandina is an indie/alt/folk band that specializes in catchy melodies, dynamic soundscapes, soaring vocals, and lyrical accessibility. The writing and vocals of founding member Amy Coccia venture into cross-genre territory, leaving no stone unturned. With influences like the citified, country-tinged songs of Rilo Kiley & Neko Case, the anthem inspiring rock-and-roll of Jimmy Eat World, the catchy electronic stylings of The Postal Service, and the raw, gritty vocals of Janis Joplin and Stevie Nicks, Coccia’s bag of tricks seems endless."

Sy Arden Music - Sy Arden is a pendulum that swings between folk and punk. "Vulnerable aggression" is a common peculiarity throughout much of her music, making it difficult to classify. She plays with a yet-to-be-named band consisting of drummer Lou Bodak and bassist Kjeff Hansen. Lou speaks Hungarian and Kjeff was once abducted by aliens. Sy used to work for Taylor Guitars in final assembly before coming back to the red-bird state of North Carolina, where she hopes to join the ranks of other well-known NC artists.
