Josh Heinrichs is the former lead singer and songwriter of the band Jah Roots and owner of GanJah Records since 2001. Josh left Jah Roots in 2009 to pursue a solo career and work on blossoming his label. Since, he has released five Top 10 debuting albums of his own and 3 other artists(SkillinJah, 77 Jefferson & Lance Sitton) albums all to Top 10 releases as well on his label. On March 26th,2013 Heinrichs “Rooftop Session” EP debuted at #1 on the iTunes Reggae Charts and at #2 on Billboards Top Selling Reggae albums. It was also featured for over 13 weeks on the front page of iTunes Reggae alongside Snoop Lion, Fortunate Youth and Major Lazer. Josh’s 2nd EP of 2013, ‘High On Love’ was released Aug 6th and debuted at #4 on iTunes Reggae Charts.
Heinrichs has toured successfully as a solo artist. Touring the entire USA & Hawaii multiple times. Heinrichs toured California with Ooklah The Moc in 2010 with a finale show at the world famous Roxy Theatre (West Hollywood). Heinrichs toured Florida and Georgia in December 2010 with MTV alumni Jimi Haha of the band Jimmie’s Chicken Shack. Heinrichs has also toured in Hawaii three times between 2009 – 2011, solo in 2009, with Cas Haley in 2010 and with J Boog and Anuhea in 2011. In 2011 Heinrichs embarked on a coast to coast USA tour w/ Mike Pinto ending with a cd release show in DiPiazza’s in Long Beach,CA. In April 2012, Heinrichs had Junior Marvin of Bob Marley & The Wailers join his band for a special 1 night only sold out performance in Josh’s hometown of Springfield,MO. In 2012 Josh also toured Florida with Bam Margera & also performed at the California Roots Festival & Reggae In The Hills Festival with his GanJah Records label mates(77 Jefferson, Lance Sitton and SkillinJah) and also did a special benefit performance with Kyle McDonald and C-Money of Slightly Stoopid in Seattle. In 2013 Heinrichs was a main stage performer at The California Roots Festival and has also performed a summer long tour with West Coast Reggae heavyweights, Tribal Seeds. In March 2014 Josh performed a special 1 night show in Honolulu,HI with Father Psalms backing band at The Republik. In May 2014 Josh performed again at The California Roots Festival on the main stage.
