You will be the first one to know when pictures are uploaded!
Huntleys & Palmers and Endless Race team up to bring one of the most exciting young talents in dance music at the moment: Bell Towers.
Now, you know how these write-ups go: “Bell Towers is a genius, he’s released on so-and-so, played with so and so, warmed up for such and such”, and none of it really tells you anything about the music. So we’ll spare you the hassle and keep it short, and let his music do the talking. All you need to know is that he has recent releases on Public Possession and Ruf Kutz in his arsenal. If you’re a fan of those labels then you’ll know the significance of this. If you don’t, then please check them out, you won’t regret it.
In his own words: “Bell Towers studied Sound Art at RMIT University, grew tired with Drone music, became obsessed with Italo Disco.. became tired of Italo Disco.. became obsessed with the back catalogue of Relief.. became tired of that THUMPTHUMPTHUMP.. went back to new wave.. & on & on & on. As a DJ Bell Towers knows how to work an EQ and keep things alight in near darkness, as a producer Bell Towers releases euphoric house not house 12”s on labels like Internasjonal and Public Possession.”
As if that wasn’t enough, to start the night off we’ve asked Slab of the Tabernacle’s Joel “The Judge” Shaw to take control of the first half of the night. A solicitor by day, DJ and label owner by early evening, in bed by 11pm, Joel and the Tabernacles have been running club night Slabs of the Tabernacle and record label Tabernacle Records for the last 6 odd years, and have been responsible for bringing over - and releasing material by – some of the most cutting edge DJs and producers around, such as John Heckle, Mark Du Mosch and Moon B to name but a few. Expect a real bag of goodies and free legal advice from this one.
So there you have it: some hot Aussie talent + some hot local talent + Huntleys & Palmers + Endless Race + sweet basement venue = a hot October night.
And, as usual at Nice N Sleazy’s the door tax is only £4.
