All the music I make in it's infinite variety.
Originally from the UK but now based in Berlin. Milly began her recording journey in dance music, singing top lines for dance music DJ’s. Early successes resulted in collaboration with the UK’s Problem Kids and the release of Take A Small Break on Paper Recordings UK 2003. It was this track that caught the attention of Steve Malinder (Caberet Voltaire) who then invited Milly to join his then current band, Electronica Outfit the Ku- Ling Brothers, collaborating on the 2008 release, Here Come The Astronauts, Publica Records UK.
It was through working with the Ku-Ling brothers that she gained a love for more experimental electronica, and began developing her own solo project.
Resulting in the experimental independent releases: EP’s Running With Wolves 2011, and Safe and Always 2012, as well as further collaborations: ONE LOVE/SONY 2010 DUBSTEP INVASION Compilation, with Run With The Flame, and with DJ Raw Sugar, Tell Me, which was released on ISM records, London 2014.
As a performer Milly, has supported many of the best musicians in the industry, including: Ursula Rucker, Moloko, Mad Professor, Soul to Soul, Roots Manuva, and Cornelia.
Her stripped down show consists of an eclectic mix of dub beats, keys, and samples with mesmerizing, hypnotic vocals
“Dreamy songs infused with funk and jazz in unobtrusive ways” “soulful… joyous”. - CUT AND PASTE MAGAZINE
Praise for Running With Wolves…
“Jagged leftfield trip-hop and dub-inspired beats contrast with soulfully crooned vocals... The arrangements are so inventive and unpredictable as to transcend genre... A surprising, thoroughly enjoyable first release that bodes well for an interesting recording career to come” - DRUM MEDIA
“There’s a ton of potential here. Keep up the good work” - DOM ALESSIO, TRIPLE J
