Brighton Comes to the Bassment...

Bassment brings you some of the top bands to hear coming out of Brighton right now

Tusks

"Brighton’s Tusks are a band I’ve had my eye on for a while so I’m buzzing that they’ve finally uploaded the full version of their best song ‘Eyesaw’ – a fuzzed-out psych gallop that reminds me of the lazy-eyed flotsam of MMOSS. The ‘60s are brought into glorious Technicolor with these quivering guitar bristles and sighing harmonies, but it’s the spacious production that really gives them a license to thrill. This is a banger." - Three Beams

Taken from a recent article of 20 must hear bands from Brighton right now

"Tusks are three young blokes from Brighton who make psychedelic garage packed with waves of reverb and distortion. Their sound is reminiscent of the likes of Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins, with heavy riffs and prolonged choruses that daze and disorientate."

Breathe Panel

"Animal lovers Breathe Panel decided on their name after forming an anagram of the words 'bear' and 'elephant' The Brighton bands dynamic track 'On my way' is one of many stellar inclusions on Beech Coma's recent cassette compilation 'Vol 2'

The four piece bear a slight resemblance to Merchandise, with Nick Green's swooping vocal recalling that of Carson Cox, meanwhile, boasts the same insatiable drive as the Tampa trio's driving 'Anxiety's Door" -NME
